Reach A Million is putting the gospel in front of Canadian teenagers online and inviting them on a spiritual discovery journey. But the most powerful way to reach this generation isn't social media. It's a student starting something inside their own school and inviting a friend. Here's how you and your young people can be part of it.

Across Canada, a generation of teenagers is growing up disconnected from faith. Most have no relationship with a person who follows Jesus, and many see Christianity as irrelevant, or worse. Together, the 787 Collective, Jesus.net, In Language Advertising, Dampier Consulting, and the Youth Worker Community launched Reach A Million to change that: high-quality social media content that meets real questions and felt needs, amplified into the spaces where young people already spend their time.
But the most fruitful mission field for this generation isn't a screen or a stage. It's the hallway, the cafeteria, and the classroom. Every day your students walk into a place most of us will never be invited: their own high school. They already have the relationships, the trust, and the credibility it takes to reach their friends. What they need is a leader who will encourage them to plant something visible: a Christian club, started by students, open to anyone, meeting in a real room at a regular time.
A club changes the math. It gives a searching student somewhere to go without having to walk into a church first. It gives your young people a reason to invite. And it gives Youth Alpha a natural home: a room already booked, a group already gathering, and friends already in the habit of showing up.

Four Steps to Reach Their School
Encourage Your Students to Start a Christian Club at Their School
This is where it begins. Challenge a few of your young people to start a Christian club right inside their own high school: student-led, open to anyone, meeting at lunch or after class. It gives a visible presence in a place most of us will never be invited into, and it gives a curious friend somewhere to go long before they would ever walk into a church.
Have the Club Host a Youth Alpha
The club gives students a room; Youth Alpha gives them something to do in it. Alpha is built to be run by students, for students: short videos, real questions, no pressure and no expert required. Running it inside the club turns a weekly gathering into an open invitation and gives your young people a natural, low-stakes way to bring a friend. We'll help you resource, train, and promote it.
Prepare to Receive Students in Your Youth Group
Some of those friends will want more than a lunch hour. Ready your youth group and leadership team to welcome young people who may be searching, skeptical, or taking their first steps toward faith, whether they arrive through a school club, an Alpha, or one of our online communities. A warm, prepared community makes all the difference, and we'll share what we're learning to help you get there.
Become a Local Partner Church
When we connect with youth in your area through social media, we'd love to point them toward you and toward the clubs and Alphas your students are running. All we need is an open door: a welcoming community and a heart ready to disciple whoever God sends your way. You can also invite your youth to repost our content, and to contribute content we can repost, sharing the channels with their friends and engaging in spiritual conversations right where those conversations are already happening.
The Whole School Changes When One Student Says Yes
A Christian club makes faith visible in a place where it usually stays private: a name on the club list, a room on the schedule, a group of students anyone is free to join. Youth Alpha gives that room its shape: space to explore the big questions of life with no pressure and no judgment, in a format designed to be led by students themselves. Put the two together and faith stops being something that happens somewhere else on a Sunday; it becomes a living conversation among friends. Your role is to be the coach behind them, encouraging, resourcing, and cheering them on as they reach a mission field only they can enter.

A proven, conversation-based series students can host themselves. Honest questions, no experts needed, and a clear path from curiosity toward faith.

Terms end and students graduate. A youth group ready to receive them is what turns a season of interest into a lifetime of following Jesus.
