Millions of Canadian Teens Have No Relationship With Jesus.
They sit beside your students every single day. Reach A Million exists to put the gospel in front of the Canadian young people who have little to no connection with a person of faith — and the most powerful way in isn't a stage or a screen. It's a student inviting a friend.
Canadian teens within reach — most with little to no connection to a person of faith
Spent online every day, where this generation is already asking the big questions
Our goal — Canadian youth engaging the gospel and finding their way into a living community of faith
Dear Pastor,
I'm writing to share something we believe God is stirring across Canada — and to ask if you'd consider being part of it. Together, our partners — the 787 Collective, Jesus.net, In Language Advertising, Dampier Consulting, and the Youth Worker Community — have launched Reach A Million, a social media initiative designed to put the gospel in front of Canadian youth who have little to no connection with a person of faith.
But the most fruitful mission field for this generation isn't a screen or a stage — it's the hallway, the cafeteria, and the classroom. Every day, your students walk into a place most of us can't reach: their own high school. They already have the relationships, the trust, and the credibility it takes to reach their friends. What they need is a leader who will encourage and equip them to do it.
To meet them where they already are, we've launched two social media channels across multiple platforms to engage youth in spiritual conversations. The goal is to reach spiritually curious young people and give them multiple ways to receive spiritual insight through our partnership with Jesus.net — and ultimately, for searching youth to find safe, authentic community in which to move through their spiritual journey. You'll find links to both channels at the bottom of this page ; take a look at what we're putting in front of this generation.
That's why our biggest ask is also our simplest: encourage your young people to start a Youth Alpha in their school. A student-led Alpha turns your youth from passengers into missionaries — inviting friends into an honest, low-pressure space to explore faith, right where life already happens.
"What is God asking us to do that can only be done together? We believe He is entrusting this generation with the mission — and inviting the church to stand behind them, cheering them on, resourcing them, and joyfully discipling everyone they bring."
You don't have to carry this alone. When your students step out, we'll help you resource and promote what they're building — and when young people in your area respond to the gospel online, we'll point them toward you and the communities your students are creating.
This isn't a heavy ask. It's a Kingdom conversation. We'd love to explore together what it could look like to unleash your students on their schools.
Four Ways to Engage
Pick the one that fits where your ministry is right now. Every one of them puts a Canadian teenager who doesn't know Jesus within reach of someone who does.
Encourage Your Students to Launch Youth Alpha in Their Schools
This is our heart. Challenge and equip your young people to start a Youth Alpha right inside their own high school — student-led, peer-invited, meeting at lunch, after class, or nearby. Your students already have the relationships we never will. When you send them out, we'll help you resource, train, and promote it, so the mission field opens from the inside.
Host a Youth Alpha at Your Church
Alongside what your students launch in their schools, a Youth Alpha at your church gives them a home base and a next step for the friends they invite. Online or in person, it's a natural, low-pressure space to explore faith — and a wonderful on-ramp for those who find us online. We'd love to help promote it and equip you to run it well.
Prepare to Receive
Ready your youth group and leadership team to welcome young people who may be searching, skeptical, or taking their first steps toward faith — whether they arrive through a friend's school Alpha or through our online communities. A warm, prepared community makes all the difference, and we'll share what we're learning to help.
Become a Local Partner Church
When we connect with youth in your area through social media, we'd love to point them toward you and the Alphas your students are running. All we need is an open door — a welcoming community and a heart ready to disciple whoever God sends your way. We'll handle the connection and walk alongside you as it unfolds. You can also invite your youth to repost our content — and to contribute content we can repost — sharing the channels with their friends and engaging in spiritual conversations right where those conversations are already happening.
The Whole School Changes When One Student Says Yes
Youth Alpha creates space for young people to explore the big questions of life — no pressure, no judgment, just honest conversation. It's uniquely designed to be run by students, for students. When a young person hosts it inside their own school, faith stops being something that happens somewhere else on a Sunday and becomes a living conversation among friends. Your role is to be the coach behind them: encouraging, resourcing, and cheering them on as they reach a mission field only they can enter.
Student-Led in Schools
Peer-invited and student-hosted — at lunch, after class, or nearby. The most natural way for friends to invite friends into faith.
At Your Church
A home base and next step — shared meals, honest conversation, and the belonging that only showing up together can bring.
Online & Hybrid
Low barrier, wide reach. Start online to lower the entry point, then move in person as trust is built — a natural bridge from digital to local.
"So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting His glorious miracles and obeying His commands."
Psalm 78:7 · NLT
Ready to Send Your Students Into Their Schools?
We'd love a 30-minute conversation — to share the vision, hear your perspective, and talk through how to equip your young people to launch Youth Alpha where they already are. No pressure, just an honest conversation between people who care about the next generation.
